DIABLO 3 2.1.4 Group Play Basics for the Not-so-Experienced Players

It’s somehow frustrating for some players when the more experienced ones call them names, or tell them that they don’t know what they’re doing, in a very unbecoming way.

I am not so experienced myself, but I do play frequently, mostly as a support for 4-player games. I haven’t received degrading comments from others yet, but I feel bad when some other players receive them. So how do we really play it? Let’s talk about who should do what in these some frequently asked questions.

Current popular gameplay for 2.1.4

1 Damage Dealer : Wizard with Twister
3 support characters : Barbarian, Witch Doctor, Monk
The group is mainly supported by health globes for survivability, so the production and pickup of the HG are both essential.

  1. Know your PC / Internet connection capabilities - Usual 4-man party goes for fast Greater Rifts, so it is very essential that you don’t get left behind. If your PC cannot get into a portal / door and transport to the next screen for the next 2-5 seconds, then you should consider buying a new PC and upgrading your internet connection. Otherwise, your party members will be annoyed and leave to find new parties. If upgrading is not possible at this time, you can just play with lower GRs, or in Public, where players may not be as serious.
  2. Pylons  -
    1. Witch Doctors normally take the Pylons, because they wear the Nemesis Bracers. Spawning Elites on fast GRs speeds up the progress of the game, finishing the game faster.
    2. Saving Pylons - when pylons are available during the end of the game, right before the Guardian appears, they are usually saved. Sometimes Barbs take the lead whether or not the pylon should be saved, and when to take it.
  3. Health Globes - Barbs and Monks main task is to produce Health globes, and WD picks them up. if Health Globes are not produced and picked-up, the Wizard will not regenerate arcane enough to attack with twister. Everybody has a role.
  4. If one of your party members are overlooking their roles, it is not because they are stupid. It is better to inform them in a nice or diplomatic way, dont call them names. If they dont improve during the game, then just leave.
  5. Best of all, enjoy playing the game, after all, it’s just a game. Spell TEAMWORK!
